Gosh, I can’t believe it’s actually fall. Not only does the calendar reflect the new season, but we’ve also been having legitimate fall weather around here. It’s making me want soups and cozy blankets, and all things apple!
6 Apple Recipes for Fall
Guest post by Louisa from Living Lou
September means apples, apple picking and that perfect apple orchard Instagram (I mean, we’ve all done it). But what to do with the bounty of fresh apples you bring home from the orchard? Yes, you can definitely eat them (they’ll last longer if you store them in the fridge), but when I have a ton of apples, I tend to bake with them or add them to whatever it is that I’m cooking. Here are six of my favorite apple recipes to celebrate this fall favorite!
The apples get cooked before being folded into the blondie batter and they pretty much melt into the blondies. These are out of this world amazing and so incredibly simple to make.
I love this brunch recipe! It serves a crowd and is perfect for the fall. If you’re looking for something a little different to try, this is the perfect dish.
Oatmeal is one of my go-to breakfasts in the fall and the winter. This is a simple recipe that serves one. I used to eat this multiple times a week at university.
The crunch of apple is the perfect accompaniment to the caramelized onions and savory melted cheese. No matter what the grilled cheese, I always find adding apple (or pear) works really well.
This recipe I created for Thanksgiving, but it’s a great salad for any fall occasion.
6. Apple crisp
Definitely the easiest fall dessert. My mom used to make this almost every week when I was growing up.
These all sound SO good! Fall recipes are my favorite!
