It’s been crazy hot… and definitely feeling physically very, very pregnant. Definitely crossed over into a new degree of discomfort. Thankfully, our house has been staying cool and we have been going to our pond club pretty much every day to swim. The best way to keep cool (and to relieve some of the pressure on my joints).
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Officially, officially got big news that I’ve been dying to share and it feels surreal! And I got the green light to announce next week, so stay tuned. It’s been a labor of love and I can’t believe how quickly it’s all happened.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: Stay cool??? Feels like a big enough task right now 😉
WEEK OF OUTFITS 7.13.21
TUESDAY
I had an early morning doctor’s appointment and then I spent the whole day digging my way out of my inbox. I had really neglected it while on vacation, and I was overdue on many replies. We had a pretty epic storm Tuesday evening so the dogs and I went to got cozy nice and early.
Jeans (maternity)
WEDNESDAY
Continued playing catch up on Wednesday and then volunteered in the evening. It was a fairly quiet night at the food bank and I finally broke down and asked for a chair to sit down between clients. My goal is to keep volunteering until baby is here and then to try to get back as soon as possible, too!
THURSDAY
Besides my usual morning therapy appointment and regular work, Thursday was a great day! I was out of town for Elsa’s actual birthday so we decided to shop, go out to dinner, and end the night with a fun sleepover!
FRIDAY
Unfortunately, I felt pretty ill on Saturday. (The reflux!!!) Not one of my finer moments, but I threw up in the Stop n Shop parking lot and then just sat in the car and cried for a little bit. I eventually called it the weekend early and just propped myself up on the couch.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
I wore pretty much the same thing both days. On Saturday, I got a pre-natal massage that was glorious! Then Mike and I made some classic summer barbecue foods and went to the pond with our neighbors and their kids. We were there for a while and it was just so, so nice and relaxing. I went back on Sunday for more swimming too after brunch in town with Mike.
Sun shirt tunic (not maternity, but perfect for bumps– wearing my usual size)
MONDAY
Last week felt a bit like catch up (and my management team had the week off) and this Monday felt like a heavy dose of reality! I ducked away after a meeting to do another quick swim before returning to my laptop.
Sometimes, it’s okay to throw your hands in the air and say, I quit. Good for you for knowing when to quit. I hope you’re feeling better.
I love your maternity style!!! Great outfits!

You are almost to the finish line of this pregnancy. I know it’s uncomfortable but it is going to be so worth it. Hang in there, momma!
When pregnant, choosing clothes is the hardest. I love your style of dress, it’s really cool!
