I partnered with J. Crew Factory on this post and I am obsessed with this outfit… it’s me in every single way. I mostly love it because it’s as comfortable as it gets, while still having some luxe touches like the velvet stripe down the leggings and the glitter bow on the flats.
When I think “holiday party,” I mostly think of fancy dresses and super high heels. While I may have one or two parties like that throughout the holiday season, most of the parties I attend are a little more low-key where it’s more about spending time and making memories with friends over everything else. Instead of going for my usual jeans and sweater route, which can sometimes turn more into a rut for me, I love how this outfit is chic and comfortable with touches of fancy.
Let me be the first one to tell you: these pants are going to be your holiday party secret weapon. They look like a million bucks and feel like yoga pants. That’s a win/win in my book. They’re stretchy and oh-so-comfortable. But then with the velvet stripe down the leg? Instantly ready for the holidays.
Have I mentioned how comfortable they are?!?!?
For sizing, I ended up going with the 00 (where I’d usually wear a 0) because the calf area was a little bigger. So if you’re more muscular or have wider calves, go with your regular size and if you’re not, then go down a size.
I actually did an Instagram story while wearing the turtleneck and the earrings a couple of weeks ago. I had a ton of questions about both.
The turtleneck is SO COZY. I love the plaid print and the thickness of the fabric. It’s fleece lined for ultimate comfort without overheating. The key detail for me is that the neck isn’t very tight 🙌🏻 (I hate tight turtlenecks because they make me feel claustrophobic!)
I was so excited to see these shoes on J. Crew Factory’s website. I have a plaid pair from a few years ago that I love. The plaid is aggressive though and there’s a short window in which I can wear them. The black and glitter are way more versatile and, I have to admit, so much more comfortable than the plaid ones. These needed no breaking in period and fit true to size with zero issues.

I love that this outfit is both comfy and classic. After eating allll the pie and turkey on Thanksgiving, leggings would be a comfortable treat. 🙂
Such a great outfit! I was excited to see the turtleneck as it is currently in transit to my house ! 😉 Glad to know how comfy it is. Happy Thanksgiving!

Love this plaid sweatshirt/sweater and received it in a couple of days ago – never thought about pairing it with a vest! Super cute and wonderful idea!
Absolutely love the pants! Just bought myself a pair!
I’ve been super-anti this grown women in hair bows trend (and, believe me, I wore them constantly all the way through college!), but, I’m finally breaking down after seeing this sophisticated velvet bow!! Also, you cannot beat that price!
I told myself I wasn’t going to buy for myself for the whole month of November.. I just ordered these pants AND the turtleneck. I have no self control- they look so great!
Love this look! I recently bought this hair tie bow, and am having such a hard time getting it in my hair. Any tips?
