- Today’s post comes with a bonus pic from the year 2000. (At least I’m pretty sure 2000, maybe 1999?) I just had to include it 😉
I have been pretty into leopard accessories (namely in the form of shoes) over the past few years, but haven’t quite ventured into the clothing department. In large part due to flashbacks of the Gap Kids get up above. At Tuckernuck’s fall shopping event in the city though, a few of their employees were sporting leopard looks (this skirt and this dress) and I was inspired to get the skirt! I’m not sure that I’m ready for a fully leopard dress– although the Tuckernuck girls looked insanely chic.
One reason why I bought this skirt was how versatile it is. I plan on getting a lot of use out of it this fall/winter (and beyond). It’ll work with tights. With boots, flats, heels, and sneaks. I can wear it with black, white, green, camel, and grey tops. T-shirts, button-downs, blouses, and sweaters. Basically, what Jenna Lyons said is totally true: Leopard is a neutral.
I tried it on at home with a white button-up tied at the waist and sneakers and it immediately took on a whole new vibe.
I kept things really basic and simple this time around with a black long-sleeved perfect tee. I have these tees in so many colors. They’re great for layering and they fit in a nice way that makes them perfect for tucking in. Unlike a lot of other long sleeve t-shirts, these do not stretch out throughout the day!!
A gratuitous shot of the Chanel ballerinas I bought last year in Paris. I had a protective sole put on at a local cobbler and they’ve held up beautifully over the past year. There’s a little bit of scuffing (because I have a habit of accidentally kicking my other foot while walking lol), but other than that they look pretty brand new. (I will say though, if there is even a 1% chance of rain for the day, I do NOT wear them. Not willing to risk it. Would rather keep them beautiful!)
Leopard Skirt // Perfect T-Shirt // Longchamp // Similar Flats
I ADORE this outfit, Carly!! It’s beyond perfect and the Chanel flats couldn’t be lovelier!! Excited to see your leaves are starting to change too – so pretty!! xo

I’ve been getting more into leopard this year. I have my eye on the Crew’s leopard turtleneck—fingers crossed it will go on sale sometime soon!

Just a thought – you wrote (and linked) under the photo referencing your outfit in these pictures that you “kept things really basic and simple this time around with a white long-sleeved perfect tee. “, but you are wearing black!! I understand you may have this shirt in white, but this is confusing as a reader considering you didn’t wear white in these photos…
Yep! Definitely black 🤦🏻♀️
Thanks for making the change in the post, Carly ☺️
Jennifer, please refer to yesterday’s thread where made abundantly clear that Carly cannot be bothered to proofread any of her posts 🙂
it’s made*
^This is what a correction looks like, to make a point.
Can I just say your body looks killer in these photos? Damn, girl, that waist!
oh I think this is the perfect autumn traditional look!
chevrons & éclairs
Love the little bit of leopard!
YES to Leopard! I love that skirt.
This entire outfit is perfection; you look amazing! I’ve never worn leopard before, but you may have changed my mind. And that 2000 picture is too cute! 🙂
That outfit is SO flattering on you – you look great!!! I’m loving leopard this fall – trying to add a few new pieces and I’m definitely going to check out this skirt!
