I was thinking about how Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. It’s not a holiday I feel compelled to celebrate, but this year I’m feeling like we should. I want to send cards to my girlfriends, maybe do something special with Mike, put together something cute for our nieces, and who knows, maybe I’ll even treat myself to a little gift. I feel like anything goes when we’re nearly a year into a pandemic and, honestly, I won’t say no to an excuse to celebrate something.
In the meantime, this Valentine’s Day planning got me in the mood for all things pink (with a hint of red, too).

Yes!!! I’m all about celebrating the little moments including Valentine’s Day! Thanks for sharing!

Agreed. I live in Ontario, Canada and we have been in lock down since Christmas Eve and not supposed be done until mid to the end of February. I need a constructive and fun project to keep me occupied.
I love pink! Especially as spring comes around. It’s my favourite colour. Your selection is lovely, I love the pyjamas and the hair clips!
Have an amazing weekend Carly 🙂

I love this! Given the bleakness of this winter, I too think it is a holiday that should be celebrated. I adore that pink pajama set!

I’m so glad you posted this. In recent years I’ve been celebrating Valentine’s Day by appreciating everyone who is close to me. I bake heart-shaped cookies with goofy messages for my family and I give little gifts that are more just pretty sentiments than big investments. A few years ago there was a cheesy Hallmark movie in which the heroine stopped being hung up on whether or not she had a Valentine and just appreciated people she did have in her life. It’s a happy idea and one that fits particularly in our current emotional environment.
