A couple of weeks ago, I had to take a quick trip into the city. It was a rainy but somewhat warm day and I knew I could get away with bare ankles. I started to piece this outfit together the night before and loved it so much I knew that I wanted to officially photograph it for the blog. Unfortunately, most of the things I’m wearing are sold out, or nearly sold out, so I’m hoping you find inspiration from it at least! Trying to link to similar items if you want to recreate.
I’m in the city at least three days a week (often more) for one thing or another and I’ve really found that my style has evolved into a much more tailored, professional look. (That is until I get home and throw on my comfiest jeans and coziest sweatshirt!)
After I went through my closet at the beginning of the year, I have been finding that I’m so much happier with the pieces and the outfits, although they’re far from the most exciting or trendiest, make me feel the most confident. It’s funny how now I can pull one or two pieces from my closet, I know I’m going to love them and feel good in both, and can somehow figure out an outfit. Everything is so much more cohesive. It’s far (verrrrrrry far) from a capsule collection, but now I think I understand the appeal.
This is the tweed jacket I wore earlier this fall. It’s sadly sold out (😭), but this tweed jacket has a super similar vibe. And here’s another really cute option under $100.
Similar Tweed Jacket (another cute option here) // Ruffle Shirt // Pants // Loafers // Similar Bag
Recently I’ve been really into white button-ups, so this was definitely a source of inspiration! I like to think that I keep the amount of items in my wardrobe pretty manageable, so I only have two white button-ups. I have been eyeing the Sezane Valentine shirt you shared earlier; I remember it being on my radar ages ago but your post reminded me of it again! Any idea whether Sezane ever does sales? :/ White button-ups might be a boring thing to be excited about, but I love finding the *special* ones, the ones that have more personality. -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
