Coats on Sale

I snapped the photo earlier today and had a near record-breaking number of DMs asking where my coat was from. It’s from J. Crew and it’s currently 40% off. Actually, all of their coats are 40% off– as are sweaters and boots. It’s a great time to stock up if you have a hole in your closet!

I tried it on in Charleston and ended up ordering it online. I am planning on bringing it to Paris, but had to give it a little test drive. It’s super oversized, so it’s not going to be a top choice if you want something tailored. But, wow… it’s beautiful and quite comfortable. I think my favorite part is that you can almost wear it like a blazer… that is, you could simply wear it over a tank or tee to complete your look. The coat runs quite large, so I’d definitely recommend sizing down if you’re in between sizes and even if you’re not, I think you could still go with a size smaller than usual. For reference, I’m wearing a 00.

I’m wearing it over a turtleneck I got last year from Athleta (this year’s version looks more mock than full turtleneck) and these step hem jeans (25% off) and carrying this tote. Not pictured, but I’m breaking in these loafers and hope they’re comfortable enough by the time we board our flight!!

Also, while I’m here… I upgraded my iPhone X to the iPhone Xs. I was so relieved to know that my old phone case fits both models. Of course, however, this is the week that my case decides to break in one spot and peel in others. Instead of replacing it with the exact same, I popped into The Daily Edited and got this case! They added the stripe monogram right there in the store!
