I LOVE a good stripe shirt. I mean, I pretty much live in this navy/white striped shirt (25% off right now!) during the summer. It’s the easiest thing for me to style and I always just feel like myself when I’m wearing it.
It’s always a sad day when I retire the shirt as summer ends. Stripes are just a little harder to pull off in the fall. (At least in my opinion!) When I was packing for Charleston, we were supposed to go on a sailboat ride, so I felt like stripes were the natural, and obvious, choice. With my navy/white packed away, I revisited my t-shirt drawer. I remembered that I had this gorgeous striped shirt. I bought it two years ago and it’s still available…
And it’s under $10!
It’s super thick and cozy. It is a little boxy, so I’d size up if you want a longer fit. And I find that it looks best with the sleeves rolled up a little bit.

I love stripes and I totally agree with how they are harder to wear in fall. For that reasons, I’ve bought striped pieces that are cable knit sweaters or turtlenecks for layering so I can still wear stripes but also be warm and seasonal!

Uniqlo has such great basics! I’m such a lazy dresser. I wear similar things in autumn as I do in the summer, just more, i.e. I’ll wear the same shirt (t-shirt even!) and pile on a coat and scarf haha. -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Adore this look on you, and so glad you got this skirt in black too! I am not quite ready to give up my stripes either, but have been teaming them with navy blazers and peacoats + jeans + ankle boots or trainers which seems to work until it becomes *seriously* wintery.
