As you guys know by now, I love thredUP. It’s one of my favorite places to treasure hunt for great clothes at great prices. I’ve actually felt a little un-inspired for summer shopping, until I started going through thredUP for a few summer staples. I added so many things to my cart– I just kept finding cute pieces! I have been doing all of my shopping online and I love shopping secondhand since it’s better for the environment as well.
thredUP is the world’s largest online thrift store and it makes it so easy to shop secondhand. I love the idea of going into thrift stores and consignment stores to shop, but generally find it overwhelming. With thredUP, you can easily search by category, brand, color, size, and price. They upload thousands of pieces of clothing a day with prices up to 90% off estimated retail.
I found a handful of great pieces for summer at unbelievable prices:
Madewell 3/4 Blouse: Estimated retail was $98, purchased for $31.99
Sail to Sable Dress: Estimated retail was $188, purchased for $45.99
Madewell Tunic Dress: Estimated retail was $119, purchased for $33.99
J. Crew Short Sleeve Top: Estimated retail was $55, purchased for $14.99
Madewell Pullover: Estimated retail was $98, purchased for $31.99
J. Crew Dress: Estimated retail was $158, purchased for $10.99
J. Crew Dress: Estimated retail was $158, purchased for $12.99
The total of my purchase was $182.93. The estimated retail had I purchased everything for full price would have been $874… so I saved $691.07. Wow! I really loved everything I found, so me and perfect for a casual summer at home. I have a few tricks for finding the best items that fit my style. Unlike traditional thrift and consignment stores, thredUP allows you to SEARCH and SORT for exactly what you’re looking for. I always make sure I have my profile filled out with my sizes, that way when I’m searching for something I only get results available in my size. I also search by my preferred brands and then can dive deeper into categories like dress (and then casual dresses) and color, and even price.
The above dress is from Sail to Sable and it was brand new with tags– such a great score for under $50.
And my everyday summer wardrobe consists of a lot of stripes. This dress was only $10.99!!! You can’t beat that.
I think my favorite thing from my haul is this Madewell top. It fits so well and is nice and light– perfect for dining al fresco. I found it on thredUP for under $35 and the estimated retail is $98!
Thank you thredUP for sponsoring this post!
Cute little GIF
Love the GIF, Carly! I’ll have to check it out. The last time I looked they didn’t have too many options for extended sizes but hopefully they’ve changed!
That Jcrew dress is so cute! They have the best sales.

Thank you for the discovery! Thrifting is the way to go, and this seems to be a great website to find good deals. I struggle with thrifting shops as they’re often not well-stocked and I can never find anything I like… I love your picks! Will check out the website! 🙂
Take care Carly! x

I have that blue and white striped dress! It’s a good one. The 3/4 sleeves are still cool but gives it a little more versatility. Cute!!
Those are some cute finds and great deals!
I was looking at your instagram and I JUST realised that I have that striped dress from J. Crew but in a navy and pink color block. And I got it from a local Saver’s store! It’s an amazing weight and length!
