COMING SOON: CHAPPYWRAP HOLIDAY

You might have seen the big news on Instagram last week…. I have a collection of ChappyWrap holiday blankets coming out in November!! This has been in the works for about a year now and it’s so thrilling to see everything come to life. I’m a huge, huge fan of ChappyWrap (have been for years– here’s Teddy enjoying one in 2014!).

Before I talk about the collection, I just need to say how much of a joy it’s been to work with the ChappyWrap team. Getting to work with brands I love is one of my favorite things about what I do. I get to see what different companies are like, how they’re run, and (!!!) meet the incredible people behind the brand. I’m impressed with absolutely everything ChappyWrap does and it’s been so cool to watch their brand take off over the years. And the fact that I get to have a small collection myself?! Talk about a dream.

When we were talking about what “season” I wanted to do a collection with, holiday popped to the top of the list. I think, because of my blog and social, that summer would be kind of the expected choice…. and I’m really glad we went with holiday so I could do something that wasn’t just blue and white. Obviously, I would love to do a whole collection of blue and white (haha), but holiday just seemed like a more fun choice and would be a bit more of a push creatively… while also still feeling “Carly.”

I put together a mood board of sorts (punchy fair isle prints, holiday ribbon, vintage ski photos) and the ChappyWrap team came back with some ideas for how to take the vision from mood board to blanket concept. We then tweaked and tweaked and had a bunch of designs that we had to narrow down. It was honestly the hardest part. I loved them all!! I love the five we ended up with. And seeing them in person was beyond!!! They look even better in person than I envisioned and I hope you love them as much as I do.

I’m hoping you find something from the collection that you love and maybe one to gift to someone. I tried to have something for everyone– and not just holiday but also winter.

If you haven’t experienced a ChappyWrap blanket yet, trust me when I say they’re worth every penny. It’s hard to describe until you have one yourself, but they are just the best, coziest blankets. They’re not fleece– they’re better! ChappyWraps are machine washable, durable, and very easy to care for. They are so soft and so cozy and the big blanket are great for snuggling. Oh and ChappyWrap is family-owned and operated, and run by a mother/daughter team.

The Classic Gingham blanket is a great neutral if you want something that will go beyond just the holiday season! The red binding pops so well and almost looks like a luxe velvet touch.

Merry Bows is, as you can imagine, the one I was most excited about. We went back and forth on a few different designs for this specific idea and I love how it turned out. It’s red with white bows on one side and the reverse of white with red bows on the other. I think this is the one you guys are the most excited about too based on my DMs!!

As far as classics go, the Tartan Plaid is (in my opinion) the perfect plaid blanket! It looks SO GOOD in person and would make a great gift for literally anyone on your list from grandparents to your boyfriend. I also think this would look fabulous on the end of a bed if you want to give your bedding a little holiday makeover.

So I was adamant about including a Vintage Ski print in the collection and I’m OBSESSED with how it turned out. It’s totally gender neutral and is a must-have for all ski enthusiasts. On one side, it’s black with red/white and on the other side, it’s white with red/black. It looks so, so sharp.

I think I expected Merry Bows to be my favorite because, duh, bows. But the Holiday Houndstooth stole my heart when I saw it in person. It is CHIC. I am having a moment with green and this green is just perfection. I love them all, but the Holiday Houndstooth…. ooh I love love it!
