A day late for this one! Lots of fun things happening over the past two weeks.
I was so, so excited to decorate our stoop for fall. I probably did it a little too early, but I was eager. Two straight days of 90 degrees took a toll on my orange guys so….. whoops. I’ve been googling remedies and I’m hoping it’s not a complete lost cause.
I got all dressed up for the premiere of Downton Abbey movie. (Wearing an old Gal Meets Glam dress and these sandals.) The train just never came so I ended up missing the premier (😭). I still saw the movie eventually though and I really enjoyed it. It was definitely more cheesy than the television show, but in a nice way if that makes sense. You could tell they were able to have a lot more fun with the characters and plot filming the movie versus the television program. Oh, and Maggie Smith is still the best.
Last weekend, we went down the shore for Mike’s brother’s wedding. It was a GORGEOUS weekend. They did a non-traditional ceremony and it was quite beautiful.
I bought a Kayce Hughes painting after seeing a sale she had to fundraise for Bahamas hurricane relief. It’s my first of her paintings and very likely not my last. I’ve been lusting over them for a while. We haven’t started to hang anything in our house, so once I get a better sense of what goes where I think I’ll splurge on another!
A few more additions after my birthday! My people get me 😉
Maddie came over one day and wallpapered our powder room! I loved the green paint in there before but it didn’t feel completely right for what I wanted. I bought a few rolls of this wallpaper and it transformed the room.
I’m going to do a post on my closet. Our house is older so the closets are tiny. I was struggling to figure out how to maximize the space in there and finally figured it out. Everything is organized and in its place (like my pajamas above) and I couldn’t be happier.
I got the flower box up on my Little Library! I obviously had to get a few little mums for it and mini pumpkins. My fave 10-year-old neighbors and I have been discussing how to decorate the library for Halloween and Christmas… they’ve got big ideas, haha!
Maddie and I went into the city a few nights ago for a shopping event with Tuckernuck and Neely and Chloe. I picked up this amazing leopard skirt and the N&C team gave me the handbag below. I mean. I am ready for fall looks!!!
Oh my word these pups. They were staring me down the other day with their best puppy dog eyes.
And finishing up the past two weeks with a trip to Wightman’s Farm for some apple picking. I’m going to attempt an apple tart. We went early to beat the heat and squeeze it in before the babies’ naps. Everyone had a great time!
What a wonderful kitchen. Love everything about it. Congratulations on making it just right.🎃🎃 Love the green handbag, too. I find green a difficult color to wear — maybe it’s my completion??? 👜👜
Love that calico bowl! That’s my everyday China. Have you seen the collaboration with Ralph Lauren? I think you’d love it.
Having major heart eyes for your ginger jar collection!! Also, Wightman Farms is one of my favorites!! I love how there is a little nook for everyone, so it feels like you have the place to yourself! [theres also the cutest little J. McLaughlin next door!] Hope you had a blast! Happy Sunday! 🙂

Though I can’t see the whole backpack, I like the look and style of it—May you share where it’s from?
I am so loving all the mums. They look gorgeous and perfect for fall. I especially love the addition to the little library!

Saw your stories and what a difference that wallpaper made! ALSO, you can totally make that shelfie of ginger jars an iPhone background!
Looks like a fun couple of weeks!
Can you share your small closet organization tips? I’d love to hear! We just moved into an older home too and our closets are tiny.
