Dressed in Holiday Style

So I actually bought a red coat this year after seeing a picture on Pinterest. I loved the bright pop of red for winter and so many of my coats are neutrals or black. (I’d say that 95% of the coats worn in NYC are black!) The red coat shows up and it’s…. orange. Like not red at all! I felt totally misled by obviously photoshopped images on the company’s website and catalog. (When I went to return it, the lady at the cash register even said, “Wow…. this coat is very….. orange.”)

When I saw this red coat on Talbot’s website, I fell in love and knew it was just the red coat I was looking for. I based the whole outfit around it because I knew it’d be such a great showstopper of a piece. It did not disappoint.

I mean… look at that coat!!! Pops even against the world’s most beautiful Christmas tree.

I also got a ton of questions about the pom pom hat! I am totally into it. This one is a little more relaxed, but is still super chic!

And what’s a Carly outfit without a few well-placed bows? This suede bow clutch matches the loafers just perfectly. In full disclosure, I only wore the loafers for the photos. I love ’em, but it was FREEZING so I wore boots the rest of the day.
