Flirty Floral Frock

Can you guys tell that I’m addicted to Gal Meets Glam dresses? I recently sent Julia a photo of the garment rack in my office (which doesn’t even include what’s in my actual closet) and it was 1/3 GMG dresses. Here’s the thing… they’re dresses that I LOVE. I think the fit is perfect, the details are gorgeous, and they’re also practical. (The pockets alone are a giant selling point!) I promise I’m not just saying this because she’s my friend! The obsession is real and my diminishing closet space proves it.

When she first launched her collection, I was gravitating towards all of the navys. But then I was like, “Carly, don’t get another navy dress. You have too many.” I’ve been branching out and, well, I like it. I’m usually not one to go outside my comfort zone in any part of my life… so any time I do something a little different it feels like a little victory!

Enter The Chloe. I would never have picked this dress for myself a year ago. It’s blush pink (which is basically my skin tone’s nude and can go wrong very, very quickly), it’s midi length, and the sleeves are slightly puffed. I would have never guessed that I could pull it off, let alone even try it on.

Gal Meets Glam Dress Review

These photos are a few weeks old. (I am so behind in posting outfits… yikes.) I wore this dress to a luncheon at Laduree SoHo. It was in the “secret” garden which is becoming one of my favorite spots in all of NYC. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it! It’s a little courtyard behind the restaurant where you can eat, have afternoon tea, chat with friends, grab a drink, etc. I felt like this dress fit in perfectly for the setting.

I wore heels to the actual luncheon but wore these pink flats for rest of the day to walk around. The heels instantly elevate the dress and the flats make it more casual. It’s great how versatile this dress is!

That print though. Despite being an overall pink dress, it totally translates into fall with the darker magenta and hunter green. I wish I had a pair of magenta heels honestly. I think they’d be perfect with this.

I’m with you on the Gal Meets Glam obsession. I find myself buying one or two from each month’s collection! They’re so beautiful and well made. I love how the green in the print really pops out against the blush of the rest of the dress. An emerald handbag or booties would totally make the dress perfect for fall!

Absolutely adore this whole look on you Carly! I feel like this is such a different style of dress for you but I love it! It will look so chic teamed with tan knee-high boots and a coat for winter too.

This dress looks so great on you, and I love seeing you in lighter colors! I’ve acquired like 5 GMG dresses myself at this point- how can you not get one each time a collection is released??
