HELLO YELLOW

I very rarely wear yellow but I’ve been gravitating to the color more and more, especially this summer. Pale “butter” yellow is very much in right now but it’s just not right for my skin tone. (My skin is, kind of, pale butter yellow 🤣.) This punchy bright yellow shift dress felt classic and, while being slightly out of my normal comfort zone, still feels like me.

I also just love a good shift dress and this is as classic as it gets with perfect little details. I love the length and buttons at the shoulder, plus of course the daisy textured print. If yellow isn’t your vibe it is also available in a black and floral printed fabric as well. It runs generously, so if you’re in between sizes I would go with your smaller size.

While pulling links for the post, I also discovered that the yellow daisy is also available in a structured maxi and a little mini skirt.

How fun is this needlepoint crossbody bag by the way? I bought the bag and canvas last summer. Between being super sick while pregnant and trying to finish up Mike’s needlepoint stocking, I barely stitched any of it. I brought both with me to our Nantucket trip and tried to stitch during every moment of downtime. I miraculously finished it before our trip ended (really just in time). I was excited to photograph it with Carter like the good ole days before we went home. This specific style isn’t available anymore, but there’s a similar round wicker bag option and a rectangle one on preorder.

I really like this dress. It takes me back to the Lilly Pulitzer days but elevated!
