Wow, how is Thanksgiving next week?! The next month is going to fly. In my ideal world, I’d be making all kinds of holiday magic for the boys– and myself– all day, everyday. This time of year is basically my Superbowl though, and in a way I feel like I’m still adjusting to being a mom of two. Someday I’ll be able to channel more of my creativity into my actual life… In the meantime, coming up with some cute holiday tablescape ideas was a fun little escape that also counts as work. Win-win!
I like this option if you’re looking for something more seasonal and less holiday-specific. The entire tablescape was designed around the tablecloth, which definitely makes a statement. To avoid making it too busy while still making the other pieces feel special enough, I focused on incorporating different shapes and textures instead of more patterns.
I wanted to focus mostly on basics for this one, and supplement with decor pieces that can be easily switched out. I’d lay the garland horizontally in the center and then tie the ribbon in a bow around the napkins– the candles, of course, complement the “napkin rings.”
Tablecloth // Rechargeable Lamps // Candles // Candlesticks // Appetizer Plates // Glasses // Napkins // Dinner Plates
I based this entire holiday tablescape idea around the tablecloth and napkins. The green stripes are bold, and made even more so by the playful ruffles. In this case, I thought it’d be fun to mix it up by incorporating both rechargeable lamps (which you know I love) *and* candles and candlesticks! You’d get the coziest glow.
