Ice Cream Season

I live pretty close to a park where a lot of kids go after school. Now that it’s warm out pretty consistently, the ice cream trucks have descended onto the park. One afternoon there was a line down the block with eager kids (and parents). The temptation is real. Mister Softee just brings me back all the memories– it tastes like summer to me!

Anyway, I used a shoot day as an excuse to get a little cone. Vanilla and sprinkles… always.

Gal Meets Glam Collection Review

I picked out this Gal Meets Glam striped dress and it’s literally so cute and comfortable. Naturally, I wasn’t the only one who thought it was cute. It sold out nearly instantly!!! But it’s still available in a 00. I’m wearing a 0 here and, honestly, I think if you’re normally a 0 or 2 the 00 would still work. It’s forgiving and super loose.

There’s another, similar option for a maxi dress and I rounded up a few more dresses with a similar vibe:

Ruffle Dress

I totally plan on wearing this all summer long. I think it’s perfect for the beach and would even work as a coverup. Nothing easier than a dress that goes from the beach to dinner!

Also, I know keep saying this, but how did I get through summers without a denim jacket? I love layering it over dresses in the summer because, unless it’s 90+ degrees, I’m probably freezing. And restaurants are always cold. And when the sun goes behind the clouds I get cold. And when the sun completely sets I get cold.

This is so cute!! I love how you are wearing sneaks with the dress!! I love the vibe it gives! And, I am totally jealous of that ice cream. There was an ice cream around campus the other day, and I missed it!! So sad lol! Enjoy your day, girl!

Such a cute look! I love my denim jacket, too. Question: On the GMG website, the dress color is listed as “teal” but your dress looks more like a light blue. What color is it really in person?

It definitely is slightly greener than just light blue…. maybe like a blue-ish mint!

You definitely influenced me to get a denim jacket, and though I was unsure about how well I could rock it, I now LOVE it! It goes with so many outfits!
