This was supposed to be a big week of moving but everything has come to a screeching halt. I’ll share more when I can, but you know life. Never goes quite like you planned 😉Despite the frustration and some disappointment and plenty of eagerness, I’ve been looking for silver linings and this week was chock full of them. Totally made up for the delay (although if you wish to send some positive vibes my way, I will happily take them). Everything from visiting the Met with Meghan, which I originally didn’t think I’d be able to do, to having an impromptu game night (our favorite kind of double date!) with Hoboken friends.
My dress! Runs pretty big, so I’d size down.
Here’s what was on my radar all week:
ONE // 2019 College Essays
I always look forward to reading this feature in the NY Times. They select a handful of college admission essays from prospective students and share them. This batch is great and I particularly loved Mark Garcia’s essay about his dishwashing job.
TWO // Childhood Sweethearts Reunite & Get Married
These kinds of stories always warm my heart. A Facebook message reconnected two people who had once been childhood sweethearts! I love that they recreated one of their childhood photos at their wedding.
THREE // Kate Spade’s Canvas Sam
If you’re looking for an “it” summer bag, I think this canvas version of Kate Spade’s iconic Sam should be the one. I LOVE the white piping on it– the pink and navy are my favorites. The Sam style has become my favorite Kate Spade silhouette (even beating out my beloved Maise that I’ve had for years) because it fits so much. I can throw my iPad, iPad keyboard, and a book in addition to everything else I carry. That’s a major win for me.
FOUR // Ashley & Ryan’s Interview
When I heard that Ashley and Ryan had recorded a podcast with The Knot, I was so happy. I knew their love story and personally found it so inspiring during some of my own hardest moments. I knew that, although it may have been difficult, sharing their story would absolutely help other people.
FIVE // Viral Piano Player on Ellen
Ellen recently had Marcos Bocanegra on her show. He had gone viral online for playing the piano during his lunch break at Cosco. He is SO TALENTED. Like, wow. Full body goosebumps while he played. I’m really rooting for him and I hope he ends up living out his dreams of composing music for movies!!
Oh no sorry about the moving delay, that always stinks. Can’t wait to listen to their podcast episode. Happy Friday!

Sending positive vibes your way! I know just how unpredictable life can be sometimes. Something my mom always said to me growing up is “This too shall pass.”
Love love love this on my radar, Carly! Thanks for these!
I hope you have a great Friday,
