When I think of dresses, the absolute number one “must have” in my opinion is a good shirtdress. It’s a wardrobe staple and something that is just nice to have tucked in your closet. I’m all about easy to throw on dresses and the best part of a shirtdress is that it looks like you’re pulled together but with minimal effort. Truly can’t think of a more versatile silhouette! When I saw this silhouette, I knew it was going to be the perfect addition to my wardrobe, especially in my postpartum era. Once I bought it, I knew I’d have to do a J.Crew Elena Shirtdress review.
It’s something that will work for my body now and should fit as my body continues to change in the coming year or so. It’s also breastfeeding friendly (love a functional button!!) and with an adjustable smocked waist, you can customize the fit for your body where it is today. I love it. Simply put, it’s the best shirtdress for women.
Edited to add: I rounded up even more shirtdresses I love!
J.Crew Elena Shirtdress Review
The length is also so beautiful, in my opinion, and makes it even more versatile since it’s not too short and can be styled with different kinds of shoes. Sneakers, heels, wedges, and flats. I think it could even work in some offices with the right shoe choice depending on the dress code.
The blue and white stripe spoke to me immediately and I think I’ll end up with the black and olive by the end of summer, too. Who knows, maybe you’ll see another J.Crew Elena Shirtdress review from me in a few months!
