LAKE PAJAMAS ANNUAL SALE

Lake Pajama’s annual sale started today! It’s the BEST time to stock up on your favorite pajamas.

Reposting my answers FAQ about LAKE here:

ARE LAKE PAJAMAS WORTH IT?

To me, yes. I love fancy pajamas and always go to bed at night wearing a matching set of pajamas. They are incredibly, incredibly soft. The pima cotton makes it worth it to me. I am usually freezing cold when I go to bed and then get super hot while sleeping and then cold again in the morning and I am most comfortable in the pima cotton throughout the night.

They also make fantastic gifts. Gift a robe to your mother in law, a nursing friendly nightgown to a new mom, or a pair of PJs for a baby shower.

ARE THEY FLATTERING?

So… I’m going to be honest. They are cute, but I wouldn’t say they’re the sexiest pajamas you’re going to wear. On the original silhouette, I wish the neckline wasn’t as much of a scoop (I think a crewneck would be more flattering), but this does not stop me from wearing them night after night. But I am happy to say that they did come out with a crewneck version and can confirm, much more flattering!

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I GET?

I always buy a size up from my usual size. I’d get an XS in pajamas from J. Crew and I buy Small from Lake Pajamas as a reference. They’re not super fitting to begin with so you can get away with a bigger size and then you don’t have to worry about them shrinking or being too small.

(Adding: I sized up another size to a medium for most of my pregnancy and for immediately postpartum.)

For baby/kids sizing, they run very small. I would go up at least one size maybe two if your kid is a little chunkier! (When in doubt, go bigger anyway because it’s better to grow into over time than outgrow quickly.)

HOW DO YOU WASH THEM?

I throw them into the wash with hot water and dry on full blast. I’ve never had a problem! One time a hot pink sports bra turned a section of my pants a little pink, but I soaked with some OxyClean and it came right out. I’m not a fan of having to baby my clothing, though if you have the time to line dry, it’s probably better for the integrity of the clothing. They remain as soft as comfy as the first day I bought them!

WHAT STYLE SHOULD I BUY?

I think in order of preference: long/long, long/short, and then short/short. Recently, while pregnant, I’ve become obsessed with their maternity nightgown (which is also available in non-maternity) so much so that I wash it almost every day just because it’s my favorite to sleep in!

For robes, I love both styles. This is what I reach for in warmer months and this is the one I’m currently using during winter.
