WEEK OF OUTFITS 2.21.23

We had a really nice, low-key week filled with friends and family and as many hours outside as possible. Also need to ask forgiveness about the mess in these photos! Our house has been flipped upside down from the work we’re doing– last week’s causality was having to empty the office closet– they went in through the closet to do some plumbing for our new tub! Anyway, waiting for them to finish up before I put everything back so the room is now a disaster.

LAST WEEK’S WIN: Our weekend was a 10/10. After being sick and feeling like we needed a good solid couple of days as a family, we got them! Lots of walks, we got together with our neighbors (a friend from college coincidentally lives at the end of our street!) and their son, we met up with my sister and brother in law and nieces for a park and lunch date. We relaxed. I baked, worked out, read. Just was very nice.

THIS WEEK’S GOAL: Mike and I are heading to Copenhagen and we cannot wait. I’m scrambling to try to get ahead work-wise so I can fully unplug. (And if I don’t get ahead? Well I’m cutting myself some slack and just will take the days off.)

Hi! Not sure if you mentioned it- how are you tracking your time outside for the 1000 hours goal? Is there an app? Love this idea- it’s sooo hard to get out when it’s dreary!

I downloaded the 1,000 app (it has a timer and adds everything up for you), but you could probably track hours in your phone’s Notes for free (or a google sheet).

How great that things are back on track! I love having old friends close by too; there’s nothing like the depth that comes from a long friendship.

It’s interesting to look back on a week and see what one is drawn to! This exercise also helped me in narrowing down my wardrobe staples list over the course of each season. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Hi Carly! Thanks for publishing my comment. I’ve noticed that on a past comment, my name has been altered to remove my blog name (e.g. from “Sarah @ Fewer & Better” to just “Sarah”), and I’ve noticed that in all of my comments from the past week, the link to my blog has been removed from my name as well. Would you be able to let me know why that is, please? Thanks so much!

I’m still seeing your name, want to send me an email with a screenshot? Are you using a no-track back or something that would be caught by a spam filter?

Hi Carly,

No, I’m just typing in the URL! I will send you a screenshot of the before-submission screen where I’ve typed in my comment and then, as you can see above, my URL isn’t linked.

Carly – you look so good on Tuesday with the red Sezane sweater and citizen jeans, question for you. – I have literally own this same sweater in the same color and have not been able to make it work due to my bra straps showing. How did you make it work?

Hi Carly! I love your Tuesday outfit posts. I have been on the hunt for a good pair of straight jeans, and I particularly like the look of the Gap jeans you are wearing in the Sunday photo. I was wondering if you could provide any additional description of the rise and the length of these. While high rise jeans look so good on many others, they just always look funny on me – in the photo, they don’t look particularly high on you, so I was wondering your opinion on how they feel. I was also wondering about the length, since it isn’t listed in the description. I often find a 27 inch inseam to be a bit short for me in the winter, so I was hoping it was at least a little longer!
