LITTLE BLACK DOUBLE BREASTED DRESS

When this little black dress showed up at my house, I immediately put it on and felt amazing in it. It fits like a dream and has been a great thing to have just “on standby” for various events. As my calendar starts to fill up again now that we’re in a good groove with childcare and school and everything, I’m glad to have some solid staples in my closet. Hallelujah for the good workhorse dresses that, more than anything, feel good while you’re wearing it.

And can we talk about these absolute perfect cap toe Mary Janes?! I posted about them in an “On My Radar” posts somewhat recently. Ann Mashburn graciously sent me a pair and I’m thrilled with them. In the shoebox, there was a note about how Ann described them as “sexy but sturdy” and that is the perfect descriptor. I can’t stop wearing them and have been trying to plan my outfits around the shoes so I have more excuses to wear them. They are so comfortable. I am still trying to figure out my new shoe size, but the team told me they ran true to size. I ordered the bigger of the two sizes I guessed I would be and they fit slightly loose on me (so I would agree that they’re true to size). With the Mary Jane style, I have been going with my bigger size since the strap holds the shoe on and with my sore feet it just feels better.
