MENTALLY, I’M HERE

I’ve been a fan of M.M.LaFleur for a while, so I was excited they wanted to partner again for their latest spring line. It seems that every collection they come out with, they raise their own bar. This year, their focus has been on what they are describing as “Power Casual.” I might just need to adopt this into my own lexicon. I love elevated looks that feel super comfortable and are effortless to wear!

This “Mentally, I’m Here” collection is perfect for transitioning into spring weather. It’s perfect whether you’re back in the office, preparing to head back, or still killing the Zoom-meeting thing at home. The idea is that the clothes in the collection can transport you to where you want to be mentally– preferably somewhere sunny and warm!

I picked out this form fitting, crazy comfortable knit dress in “safari” green. I ordered a bunch of the dresses to see what would look and feel best with my growing bump. But I must admit that it’s a little bit outside of my comfort zone and I don’t know if I’ve ever worn a dress like it, but it was by far my favorite! It surprised me just how confident I felt in it… and I know I’ll wear it throughout my pregnancy and feel just as good.

I’m wearing my usual size even though it’s not maternity– the dress is bust and bump friendly.

Great for tall women too, though I’m only 5’5″ and it still works on my frame! The knit fabric is also great for resisting wrinkles. If you’re looking for a comfortable dress you can wear on Zoom or in the office, highly recommend!

I paired it with this cropped linen jacket.

It fits like an oversized denim jacket in an airy linen fabric. I’m wearing my usual size, but you can size down if you want a more tailored look. I love it with the longer length of the dress. I feel like it hits in just the right spot for a perfectly cropped look.

And because I’m all about that comfort, I went with a leather sneaker instead of a dressier work shoe.  They feel slightly elevated because of the tailored profile and leather!
