If there’s anything we can all agree on, it’s that Nancy Meyers is iconic. She’s behind so many of my comfort movies– The Parent Trap, Father of the Bride, Something’s Gotta Give… I love the plots, but what I REALLY love are the set designs. It might just be the TikTok algorithm, but I’ve noticed that the Nancy Meyers aesthetic is having a resurgence and I’m here. for. it. It was fun to round up some pieces that emulate her look!
Brass Lamp ($60!) // Target (specifically the Studio McGee line) is kind of a treasure trove for the Nancy Meyers aesthetic. Because of the brass shade, my guess is this lamp isn’t super functional, but I’d still pop it on a desk anyway!
Woven Basket // This is more than I’d typically spend on a basket, but I will say that everyone I know who has it, loves it. It’s meant to be a “statement” on its own and is the perfect size a stack of blankets!
Caned Accent Chair // Another Studio McGee for Target find! I’d be more than happy to curl up on this chair with a cozy blanket and a good book.
Block Print Quilt // We had this in our old primary bedroom after having it on my wishlist for years. It’s neutral and casual, but also elevated.
Botanical Stripe Pillow Cover ($35!) // The grandmillennial in me LOVES this print! The color reminds me of Wedgewood blue and the pattern lines up on both sides, which makes this pillow cover look very high-end.
Pepper Mill // An eclectic kitchen is a signature of the Nancy Meyers aesthetic. One of the keys, I think, is that everything has a purpose but is (mostly) still beautiful… This classic brass pepper mill is a perfect example!
Rattan Lamp // I can completely imagine this in the living room of a Nancy Meyers set. I might switch out the white shade with a pleated, patterned one.
Rattan Counter Stool // We don’t have a lot of black in our home (maybe none, honestly), but Nancy’s kitchens usually have some pops of it. I really like how the black looks with the rattan, and the reviews on this stool are great.
Marble Utensil Holder ($25!) // Nancy loves marble, and with this you can get the look on a small scale.
Upholstered Headboard // I prefer an upholstered headboard to a wood or metal one– it’s way more cozy! The light beige color adds warmth too.
