I love browsing J.Crew whenever they add new arrivals and they just dropped a pre-fall collection earlier this week with a mix of transitional pieces and fall staples. It’s making me very excited for cooler weather and I wanted to round up a few of my favorite finds.
Merino Crewneck // Cotton Poplin Shirtdress // Cotton Rollneck Sweater // Striped Oxford // Wide-leg Corduroy Trouser // Striped Cashmere Sweater // Wide Leg Jeans // Cable Knit Lady Jacket // Eyelet Top // Pleated Denim Mini Skirt // Leather Bucket Bag // Cropped Trench Coat
Fall is around the corner, but it will be pretty warm in Madison for the foreseeable future, so I’m definitely tempted to add this classic striped cotton poplin shirtdress to my cart. I’ve been a big fan of shirtdresses this summer and love how easy they are to throw on while still making you feel put together. They are also nursing-friendly, which has been so helpful this summer while I’m still nursing Rory. If shirtdresses are my summer uniform, then lady jackets would be the equivalent for fall. I wore them on repeat last year with jeans and flats and love how effortlessly chic they are. This navy cable knit lady jacket is gorgeous and has the most beautiful gold button detailing and pockets.
Wide leg pants are a great fall staple and one of my favorite styles to wear with booties. This pair of wide leg corduroy pants caught my eye while browsing through J.Crew’s new arrivals. I haven’t had a pair of corduroy pants in ages, but I think these would look so cute styled with a merino wool crewneck and boots this fall! I can’t wait to wear cozy sweaters again, and I love the style of this moss green cotton rollneck sweater, which I think would be perfect to pair with a pleated denim mini skirt and flats for a transitional fall outfit.
