It was a return to normalcy for our family this week. Regular daycare and preschool days for the boys, back to work for Mike and me. I spent some time planning out my schedule for the next few weeks and then trying to look ahead (as much as I can) to goal set and kind of come up with my game plan for 2025. One thing I did, just for fun really, was put together a mood board for the year. It’s not quite a vision board, though I did add a slide about some dream partnerships I’d love for the year, and it was a nice exercise to do.
Coat // Glasses // Pouch // Jeans // Similar Boots
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Baby2Baby
I’ve been heartbroken looking at the absolute devastation from the fires in LA. So many families have lost absolutely everything. There are many organizations to donate to if you are in a place to do so– I personally chose to donate to a few families and Baby2Baby, which is an organization that helps provide necessities to babies and children in need. They’re partnering with 470 partner organizations to serve schools, shelters, and hospitals in LA right now.
TWO // Leather Mary Janes
Mary Janes have been my go-to shoe silhouette lately, when it’s warm enough at least! They’re kind of the ideal shoe for my life stage right now because they stay on, are super comfortable, and still look cute. Love that this style is in right now– there are so many good options! This leather pair might have to be my next purchase.
THREE // New Year Poem by Georgie Jones
I was really struggling to come up with my plan for 2025 (hence my mood board exercise) and then I stumbled on this spoken poem by Georgie Jones. I loved it so much. It really, really spoke to me and made me feel more relaxed about the new year.
FOUR // Wedding Cake Coffee Syrup
Wedding cake is one of my very favorite desserts. (And I think it’s unacceptable how few weddings have proper wedding cakes anymore– I kid, I kid.) I kind of really love the idea of making this syrup for coffee drinks for, like, a very fun little afternoon treat…
FIVE // Bookstore for Sale
Is this not the dreamiest little bookstore you’ve ever seen? With a one bedroom apartment upstairs? And it’s for sale!! It’d be like living in your own Hallmark movie!
