ON MY RADAR 1.19.24

This week felt like a proper winter week. It was grey, it was freezing, and we got SNOW. Our town had a snow day on Tuesday and we fully embraced the day. Maybe it’s the mom-guilt of knowing I’m not going to be able to give Jack my undivided attention in a few weeks, but I was dedicated to making it the best day ever. We had snowman pancakes for breakfast, sledding with friends, hot cocoa, grilled cheese, cuddling on the couch watching TV, more sledding, and a big bubble bath. It was such a good day and we had fun. My lips were so chapped by the end of the day and my hips were aching so, so bad…. but it couldn’t have been better! I’m so bad about embracing the winter and having a toddler totally is giving me an excuse to see the beauty and magic in it.

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // Hotel Minnow Collection

The new Minnow swim collection is too cute. “Hotel Minnow” is the perfect theme. I love the green, white, and navy. So chic and classic. I’m sure I’ll be making a purchase for the boys before the summer. Adorable!

TWO // What To Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking

I signed up for my first Substack! I didn’t do the paid version, just because I’m not sure I’m ready to commit to a subscription, but I’ve heard great things about this Substack. I’m always on the hunt for good recipes and so far, I’m impressed.

THREE // Waterproof Colorblock Coat

Obsessed obsessed with this colorblock coat. It’s like the perfect mix between a traditional trench coat and a fun rain jacket. I am loving the colors of it and I think it’d be a great coat during transitional seasons. Plus the little pop of pink at the pockets is adorable.

FOUR // Wishbone Kitchen on Youtube

Wishbone Kitchen is one of my favorite accounts to follow on TikTok. (I think she’s a major reason I’ve been inspired to try to cook more, actually!) I was thrilled to see that she’s creating content on Youtube now, too, and the concept is genius! Dinner parties! Love the long-form content and she has so much good stuff to share. Her first episode is out: fried chicken dinner party!

FIVE // Train Sheet Set

Well this train sheet set is darling. Jack is still loving his crib, but I think we’ll probably transition him to the bed in his room at some point in 2024. It’s so hard to find cute prints for boys that aren’t cheesy or, like, super aggressive? This is the perfect mix of fun and sweet and I know train-loving-Jack would love them. I’m tempted to order them now to replace the gingham sheets I currently has on the bed, but also worry that he’d never be convinced to go back to the crib if he saw them, haha.

Elizabeth

You’re going to LOVE What to Cook when you don’t feel like cooking. It’s the best $50 I spend every year. Caro is so fun. She’s our age but has 3 boys and gives GREAT parenting advice that I’ve found so helpful in helping me be less anxious.
