On My Radar

This week feels like a total blur: the usual work mixed with catching up with girlfriends. It went by unusually fast and the fact that we’re at the end of March is just blowing my mind. Nearly 25% done with 2019 already… how!

Kate Spade Lip Sweater

This was from last Friday at an event for Kate Spade. Wanted to share it here because they’re having a Friends & Family sale right now: everything is 30% off!!! I’m wearing this lip sweater and handbag (both c/o).

I have a lot on my radar this week so just jumping right in:

ONE // Seersucker Back Tie Shirt

This. Is. The. Cutest. It’s a seersucker top just perfect for warm weather– and it’s under $25!!!

TWO // All the Light We Cannot See on Netflix

All the Light We Cannot See is one of my favorite books and I’m thrilled to see that it’s coming to Netflix as a limited series. Can’t wait to hear more about the production.

THREE // Heart Sunglasses

Another under $25 find: a pair of heart-shaped sunnies. I have no desire to spend a ton of money on trendy frames, but a $25 pair? Not too bad. I especially love that they’re tortoiseshell.

FOUR // Emilia Clark Battled Two Life-Threatening Brain Aneurysms

The phrase “be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle” couldn’t be truer for Emilia Clark (one of the stars of HBO’s Game of Thrones). I thought her piece for the New Yorker was incredible. Right as she was getting the role of a lifetime, she was faced with not one but two medical emergencies.

FIVE // Multi-Colored Gingham Swimsuit

Warning: this is a $400 bathing suit, so proceed at your own risk. It’s so perfect though 😍 Want another more affordable gingham suit? Try this one from Aerie, currently on sale, or this one (seersucker on the front, gingham on the back).

SIX // Katelyn Ohashi’s Perfect 10 Routine (Again)

I think I may officially be Katelyn Ohashi’s biggest fan (although I have a feeling there’s a lot of people vying for this position as well). She’s just so talented and fun to watch. She tweaked her now-famous routine a little bit and scored another perfect score.

SEVEN // How to Navigate a Special Needs Encounter

This. Piece. Everyone needs to read it. Loved every single line (especially about what an ultrasound doesn’t show). Read it, share it.

Luckily I’m not the slightest bit tempted because it’s way out of my price range, but dang, it’s beautifullll. // Loved the article about special needs encounters. Read that post on Cup of Jo about navigating a special needs encounter this week too & LOVED it. I shared the post with a close family friend who has a daughter with special needs as well and she could not have co-signed it more. A must read for sure.
