ON MY RADAR

Ummmm, how is it Friday? And how do we only have one more week of September? And also how it already fall? My sense of time is clearly off, but I can’t be the only one who feels this way, right?! The next week is going to go by even faster because we are getting ready to go to Nantucket for October. We are so looking forward to the trip, but my to-do list is a mile and a half long. This final dash will be so worth it though…. just need to get through it.

My sweater + Jack’s outfit + Nursery details

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // Susan Gordon Pottery x Riley Sheehey Christmas Collaboration

Two of my favorites collaborated on a special Christmas collection! Riley Sheehey artwork on Susan Gordon’s pottery pieces?! It’s a match made in heaven! The collection launches today (10am CST) and I imagine it’s going to sell out quickly, so don’t hesitate to place your order if you see something you have to have. Here’s the catalog with all the previews.

TWO // Pumpkin Dream Cupcakes

Definitely craving fall flavors and baking. How delicious do these pumpkin dream cupcakes look? The cupcakes look pretty straightforward to make (and you can even make it as a sheet cake instead), but I think it’s the espresso cream cheese frosting that has me drooling!!!

THREE // Cotton Cashmere Sweatsuit

I need you to know about this amazingly comfortable cotton cashmere sweatsuit. I am *obsessed*. I bought it with the hopes of it being the perfect cozy outfit to wear around the house and it absolutely lives up to my expectations. (And it’s currently on sale!) I originally purchased it in the caramel color, which was a little outside of my comfort zone, and I ended up loving it so much that I also got it in black. You can mix and match the pieces with other items in your wardrobe, like a white tee with the sweatpants or the sweatshirt with a pair of jeans.

FOUR // Dancing with the Stars

Are you guys watching this season of Dancing with the Stars? I had every intention of watching and I tried, but gave up after 20 minutes. I didn’t realize it was two hours and I realized I just wanted to watch the dances… I lost interest with all the commercials and additional commentary. In the morning though, I promptly pulled up the dances on Youtube! Everyone did great… especially Jojo Siwa! Loved her dance– and she even caught her partner after she slipped mid-dance.

FIVE // How Are You Feeling During This Uncertain Times?

This is a great essay on the blog Cup of Jo. I thought it really captured this weird period of time pandemic-wise. I don’t think I could really sum up my own feelings toward this odd COVID-limbo period we’re in right now… but the essay nailed how I feel. Maybe you feel similarly?

The essay really hit home. Especially the part about “panic searching.” I literally read everything about potential new variants to find something to keep me in worry mode. I’m glad I’m not the only one who does it, and I’m glad she put a name to it. I’m really going to try to change that behavior going forward. Thank you Carly for posting it.
