Summer is unofficially here and let me be the first one to tell you: The Riordan family is ready! We’ve been eating outside every night (as long as it’s not raining). We’ve been playing with bubbles, scooting with our cousins, and practicing our bike riding skills. I just rewashed all of our bathing suits to get ready for trips to the pond and restocked our sunscreen. Jack is going to be in a five day program in September and Rory will be in daycare three days a week, so I’m heavily leaning into mom-life this summer. Honestly, I’m just so excited all around.
ONE // Heritage Anorak
Obsessed with this vintage inspired anorak. It’s a men’s style and I kind of think it’d be perfect for an oversized old-school look. Every color looks so fun, but I’m a little partial to the yellow? Maybe the green is more practical? While I want it for myself, it would also make a great father’s day gift!
TWO // Project Hail Mary Movie Updates
I absolutely loved the book Project Hail Mary. I devoured it two summers ago– even though it’s not a genre I normally read, I truly could not put it down. I had no idea it was being made into a movie with Ryan Gosling starring in it! Excited to see updates about how it’ll come to life on the big screen.
THREE // Bow Graphic Sweater
What a fun $50 find… a cute bow sweater! So many people sent this to me over Instagram last week and I can see why. You can’t beat the price point and it’d be such a cute sweater to wear with white jeans on a cooler night or with white shorts this summer. They also have an American Flag sweater (in both navy and white), which is also so on trend!
FOUR // The Queen of the Beach Read Hangs Up Her Bikini
This is a fantastic profile on our favorite author Elin Hilderbrand! It’s going to be in print this weekend, too if you don’t have a digital subscription to the Wall Street Journal. Summers won’t be the same without Elin’s annual novel release. However…. I don’t think this will be the last we hear of her. Excited to see her next chapter unfold! PS Her podcast Books, Beach, and Beyond is returning with an introductory episode on 6/5 and the season officially kicking off on 6/12. I can’t wait!
FIVE // Minnow Summer ’24
Wow wow wow! This might just be Minnow Swim’s best collection yet! The perfect muted reds and blues mixed with classic navy. I stocked up on matching outfits for the boys and me. We’re heading to Nantucket at the end of June for a couple of weeks and I, obviously, couldn’t resist a little twinning moment.

Omgeeee, Carly! I was a sophomore in college in 1989. In the spring of that year my sorority had its formal on Hilton Head Island. On the way to the island there was and still is an outlet mall, but back in the day outlets were actually a depository for overstock material not a separate brand like J Crew factory. I purchased one of those anoraks in hot pink and wore it to shreds! This is so exciting!!!
