ON MY RADAR 9.8.22

Happy Friday, friends! It has been a full week of getting in the swing of things! Big grocery trip runs to stock up on pantry items, coordinating our calendars, getting my office back in order, starting all of Jack’s new fall activities… feels good to get back in a groove, even if we’ll miss some of our favorite leisurely summer things, too. I definitely felt a mindset shift when we got back from spending Labor Day Weekend down the shore.

ONE // Newsletter!

I am working on setting up a whole newsletter series in addition to my blog and social channels. It’ll be a mix of fresh, exclusive content as well as “here’s what you missed” items. I’m still in the beginning stages of this, but wanted to just go for it and tweak along the way instead of worrying too much and never getting started. You can sign up here. Let me know if there’s something specific you’d love to see in an email newsletter!

TWO // Hill House’s Fall Collection Line Sheet

Hill House (of the infamous Nap Dress!) just released the line sheet for their fall collection, which launches next week on September 14. I’m especially excited for the artist’s edition with my favorite Diane Hill! I think I’m skipping clothes this time around, but I have my eyes on the Diane Hill laptop case and one of the pouches… So, so cute.

THREE // J. Crew’s New Collection

I’ve already shared a bunch of J. Crew’s new arrivals but I had to link to the photos from the actual campaign. It is like a modern take on the 90s catalogs!!! So thrilling to see. It is making so very excited to see what else they have up their sleeve as we move further into fall and (!) even into holiday.

FOUR // Emily Henderson’s New Sunroom

I love reading Emily Henderson’s blog. It’s mainly about interior design and home-type posts… she has such a knack for design and I am always impressed and inspired. A couple of years ago, she and her family moved out of LA to Portland, Oregon. They bought a rundown farmhouse and have been renovating it ever since. I have to say… I had a really hard time seeing her vision. Like every time she posted design inspiration and even progress photos of the construction, I just couldn’t see where she was going with it. (With that said, I should reiterate that I never have a vision for this and clearly she’s a professional for a reason.) She just revealed her first finished room… the sunroom and WOW. I see it now!!! And I can’t wait to see the rest of the house as it’s completed!!! (Also now I want to swap out our tile in our sunroom for something more like this. It’s stunning.)

FIVE // Convertible Car Seat

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what we chose for the convertible car seat so I wanted to re-share! After going back and forth for a while, we finally landed on getting the Nuna Exec as Jack’s next car seat. It’s been installed for just over a week now and we are quite happy with it. Two big selling points for me: it’s narrower than the Rava so there’s more room in the backseat even with it installed and it converts to a booster down the road. Jack has loved his Nuna infant seat and I was worried he wouldn’t be as comfy in the Exec, but happy to report that he has had zero complaints. (I seriously held my breath the first time we popped him in praying he would like it.)

So nice that you include JCrew … no one covers them. It looks like they made some positive changes.
