PREPPY FALL SHOES

Shoes are one of the first things I switch to when the seasons are starting to change. I’m usually still in the mood to wear some of my summery clothes, but swapping in preppy fall shoes can make my outfit look more seasonally appropriate– even if the weather is still warm! As I mentioned earlier this week, mixing in some warmer cognac leather (like these sandals) can make even sundresses look a little more autumnal. I’m rounding up some of the cutest preppy fall shoes I’m seeing. I am so thrilled to see that traditional preppy shoes are totally back in. In my opinion, they never went out, but at least they’re definitely back in? Give me all the ballet flats, mary janes, and loafers. Please & thank you.

Preppy fall shoes, like loafers with bows, ballet flats, tweed mules, and bean boots.

BOW LOAFERS // TWEED MULES

WOVEN BALLET FLAT // TORTOISESHELL MULES

LEOPARD MARY-JANES // CLASSIC LOAFERS // SNEAKERS

POINTED TOE FLATS // SLIDES

REFINED CHELSEA BOOTS // BEAN BOOTS

I could snap my fingers and have all of these preppy fall shoes appear in my closet. It’s actually inspiring me to do an edit on my shoes. I’m loving all the practical flat options as I’m sure I’ll be running around chasing a toddler for most of fall. I bought these sneakers for that exact reason and I have to say, I’m loving them. They’re sportier than my usual white sneak, but a little dressier than my actual workout shoes, so they kind of play to a perfect happy medium. (They fit true to size, by the way… I ordered my usual “sneaker” size, which is 1/2 size up from what I normally wear and they were too big. My normal size was perfect.) Oh, and I had to call out these chic little Chelsea boots– I’m loving the style from Hunter!
