I feel like there’s such a short window to totally embrace the holiday spirit wardrobe-wise and I plan on taking advantage of it as much as possible. I’m a big fan of red in general and even more so leading up to Christmas.
I also wear a lot of black during the winter, but black doesn’t have to be boring or basic. And amen for that. I missed out on this bow coat when it was first sold and I have been hunting for one in my size on eBay ever since without much luck. Thankfully, Factory re-released it and I LOVE it! It’s not the warmest coat ever, but great for chilly winter days, especially when you’re wearing a bulkier sweater.
I’ve had these leggings for a while and they are my GO TO pair of pants during the winter. They’re insanely comfortable and easy to move in, yet have that chic leather look. Highly, highly recommend them. (They are so easily dressed up or down, too. Very very versatile.)
I’ve also received a ton of DMs about my red lipstick. I’ve been mostly wearing Bobbi Brown’s Red Carpet (shown here, higher maintenance) or Origins sheer lip balm in Totally Tulip (more like a tinted chapstick and very low maintenance). I will say, I think that with red lipsticks, it’s especially important to try them on with your skin tone because they’ll look different on everybody. These are two that work well for my complexion and coloring.
I’m wearing last year’s version (or maybe even two years ago) of this red sweater. I LOVE the pom poms… so festive.

I love that the bows on your coat and flats are both flat, rectangular bows — on point with matching elements as usual! // During the holiday season, I especially love deep orange-ish reds. I’ve already browsed Madewell a few times and fell in love with their “cinnamon” coloured items. I know it’s just a deep orange/red, but calling it “cinnamon” just makes it feel so much more festive! I’m a sucker for those marketing tactics… // Black is a safe and chic bet for all seasons, and I love that it creates such a solid canvas to work with in a sense — perfect for accessorising and adding pops of colour! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

Amazing choice. Not too obvious for Christmas time, but still classic.

Could you do a red lipstick tutorial?! Do you use lip liner??
Carly, I love this look and the photos! The 3rd to last shot with the pine trees is gorgeous — and I love the ones with the jacket open and the red bows in the background. Overall, this is just such a nice post — you have been nailing all of the holiday content. 🙂
