Have you guys been making weird purchases lately? Mike announced one day last week that he bought a keyboard. Neither of us play the piano and so I’m not quite sure what plans he has for it…
I’ve been trying to think about what enhance our staying at home for the foreseeable future more enjoyable and realized that we definitely could use lawn chairs. Our backyard is pretty tiny and we already have a dining table set up, but we definitely have room for chairs on the lawn. We’ve been having days of clouds and rain so I’m also crossing my fingers that the sun will start coming out. Even if it’s not warm, I’m dreaming of sitting out in the backyard with a quilt and a book. Or bringing my laptop out to do some writing. Or just taking a little cat nap for vitamin D.
This is actually something I was planning on ordering anyway– I just made it more of a priority since we’ll be home. And they’re 40% off right now so I figured why not.
I bought two chairs and two of the foot rests (in navy), but they come in various colors too. While I bought them primarily for our yard, I know we’ll have them for years to come. And they’ll be easy to throw in the trunk of our car for when (🤞🏻) we go down the shore again.

They won’t be kept outside because our yard is small. We wanted chairs we can bring with us to the beach AND set up in the backyard when we’re in the mood. But otherwise they’ll be in the garage. It’s a short window where we can sit outside.
We got a keyboard for Christmas this year (my husband is musical, I am not) and I’m loving it right now, it’s the perfect escape! I got a subscription to the Youscian app and it makes learning piano kind of like a game, similar to Duolingo. It won’t make you a great player but I feel like I’ve learned a lot in only 3 months.

I just bought a lawn chair too! I live in a tiny apartment and have a little balcony and decided I needed a chair so I could at least sit outside.
The beach club my family goes to uses those chairs– I personally love them! Get yourself a little stool or mini side table to put in between for the inevitable giant iced coffee or iced tea you’ll want to sip on in the sunshine since there’s no cup holder attachment! 🙂

My husband *just* bought me a keyboard too! I do play and always have and now the kids are all making their own music too. It is relaxing as well and I hear there are a lot of online learning as well 🙂
I feel ya. For me, its Google searches and Amazon purchases that are getting progressively weirder….lol! Mike’s keyboard may take the cake though! Sending well wishes to the both of you! 🙂

We ordered a patio set for our deck last week. It’s something we were planning on in the future and like you thought now was the time to do it and enjoy our outdoor space more.

My husband and I debated buying a Playstation last weekend, which is hilarious because we are NOT video game people…just bored! He also told me he wanted to buy DJing equipment but I laughed and said no (he is a corporate lawyer who still showers and gets dressed at 7:30 every morning during these ‘quarantine’ times, to give you a better picture of the scene).
