Dyson Blow Dryer

Dyson Blowdryer // My blowdryer recently bit the dust. Midway through drying my hair one morning it just went caput. Luckily, I have a mini-dryer I use for travel so I wasn’t totally left high and (not) dry. I was doing a bit of research, as one does, before making my next purchase and I decided to give the Dyson a try. It’s a $400 so I was kind of like, is this even worth it? I shot a video of my first impressions (coming soon!) and it’s actually an incredible blow dryer. I wouldn’t get it if you have one that already works for you, but if blow drying your hair is a struggle, it could be worth it for you if you’re in the market for a new one down the line.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect

Dermologica Prisma Protect Sunscreen // I’ve been mentioning this sunscreen in tandem with my other favorite face one, but I actually have been finding myself preferring this more than anything else. I love the texture and my skin looks amazing, with or without makeup over it. I feel like it gives a dewy but not greasy look. It’s a light activated moisturizer too so you can use it in place of your regular one, while still getting 30 SPF!

Dry Bar Clear Dry Shampoo

DryBar Detox Clear Dry Shampoo // I stopped using DryBar dry shampoo because I swear they changed the formula and my dark hair looked constantly “dusty” with it. They just released a clear one and I’m a CONVERT. It supposedly doesn’t soak up as much oil as the other versions, but I haven’t noticed a difference at all. I freaking love the smell and it really is clear!!! My hair looked slightly wet when I first put it on but it dries perfectly and still gives me a nice boost of volume. (I have also found that this is a great spray to have on hand for giving buns and braids a bit more “hold.”)

Nuria Beauty Exfoliator

Nuria Defend Gentle Exfoliator // This is the best gentle exfoliator. While I still use a more intense one about once a week just to really ensure I slough off the dead skin, this one is perfect for everyday use. It’s kind of like a magical exfoliator. It’s hard to explain but it comes out like a very smooth liquid-y gel and then you can kind of feel it rolling the dead skin off so by the time you wash it off it’s slightly clumpy. Obsessed. I swear this has made my skin look/feel so much brighter on a daily basis.

L'Occitane Purifying Mask

L’Occitane Purifying Mask // Once a week (usually Sunday nights), I do a heavy duty skin routine. I cleanse (sometimes double cleanse), apply all the serums, exfoliate, use masks, and ultra-moisturize. It’s such a fun ritual and my skin always appreciates it. L’Occitane just released this mask and it’s one of the best ones I’ve ever tried. Have you ever tried a mask and you’re like “Ummm did this even do anything?” or “Ugh, why does my skin look worse?” Well this is the opposite. It WORKS. I love the green texture too– feels nice and thick and moisturizing going on and washes off cleanly.
