A warm weather vacation sounds incredible right now! I am not a fan of winter in the slightest, and I’ll be brutally honest here and say the winter is already wearing me down. Since it’s only the middle of January, I’m starting to think that planning a warm weather getaway might be just what I need. A few years ago, my friend Maddie and I planned a needlepoint camp girl’s trip to Palm Beach that ended up being the perfect trip. We planned it for the end of February so we could come home and it would already be March. Let me tell you, this is the best way to get through winter. You have something to look forward to, a few days in the sun and then back for the homestretch of the cold months. It’s amazing what a few days in the sun needlepointing with a friend can do for your mental health, and I’d highly recommend planning your own version of needlepoint camp.
I love when brands start to release their resort capsules. It feels like a little palette cleanser between the pages of outerwear and sweaters. And even if I don’t have somewhere warm to go, I will happily browse! If a beach vacation is in your future, you must try the Hill House pool skirt. I bought it last spring, and it was even better than I expected. It’s a great length and is a bit longer in the back than the front, and I love the tiers. It almost feels like a flirty tennis skirt. Pop on a crisp white button-up tunic coverup overtop and add a pair of sandals and a straw panama hat for my ideal beach day outfit.
I have my eye on this tropical blue and white midi dress. You could dress it up with heels and a clutch for dinner or dress it down with white sneakers and a cardigan sweater for window shopping. Versatility is key when packing for a short trip, and this cute straw tote is another cute accessory that works for dinners and pool days.
