Rugby Stripes

Two outfit posts in a short period of time? Fashion week must be rubbing off on me.
This weekend has been oh-so-fun. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about appointments and meetings and shows and brunches in a row, but it ended up being totally fine. Y’all. I do not have the stamina for this! Luckily, it was so fun that we (almost) didn’t feel exhausted.

I did have a migraine on Saturday and wound up in bed with a cold compress for three hours, but a healthy dose of guacamole and two Gatorades pretty much took care of that.
Yesterday was definitely a little bit more low key. Two (seriously two) brunches, lots of walking, a couple of blogger meetups, and a much-needed shopping trip to J. Crew. Have I mentioned how thankful I am to have Mackenzie by my side throughout these events? Having a support system is seriously necessary for dealing with crowds and pushing through super hurting feet.
Mackenzie and I met up with Julia from Gal Meets Glam for brunch at our favorite spot. It’s always fun to meet up with blogging friends who live on the other side of the country. Although, we’re totally trying to convince Julia to move to the Upper East Side.
We’re in such a weird season, but one that I absolutely love. Still warm, but that teeny tiny hint of fall in the air. In the sun, it’s definitely really warm… but if you’re in a shady part or sitting outside a restaurant, it’s nice and cool and quite frankly perfect. A light blazer is so necessary. I feel like I took it on and off all day because I was going back and forth between being cold and warm.
This J. Crew Rugby Stripe Dress has been one of my staples this summer. Perfect with Toms (#guiltypleasure) and a baseball cap for lazy weekends… and paired with ballet flats for casual work days.

What’s something in your closet that you’re transitioning from summer to fall?

Love the dress. Looks like it is the perfect transition piece. I have an unhealthy obsession with my TOMS as well, they are just so comfy!
