service

The Prep Talk theme of the week is SERVICE.
I often find that I don’t do enough to give back.  And I’ve been working to change that.  Too busy, too stressed, too whatever.
The truth is that we truly have so much to give, more than we think and realize.  We also have so much to be thankful for.  Servicing others in a time of need is just as important.  Last week, a terrible string of storms hit the south very hard.
Tuscaloosa, the home of the University of Alabama needs our help.
I have friends from high school who attend the university, as well as many more readers.
A reader passed along information on how to help.
First, the simplest way is to text “redcross” to 90999 for a $10 donation.
OR, you can show your support and make a donation by purchasing a t-shirt from Stand A*Wear
Many many many thoughts and prayers to the members of the Tuscaloosa community and everyone who was affected.
XOXO

I attend The University of Alabama, and when I saw that this weeks version of Prep Talk was going to be on service I hoped that you would put something about us in there. Words can not explain how grateful we are for what everybody is doing. Thank you so much for posting this, and if you would like more information on what y'all can do I'll pass it along to you! Thanks, again! Roll Tide! 🙂

I don't know if donating money is service (giving back? charity? doesn't service have to be something more active than swiping out a credit card?), but it's a good thing nonetheless. Great post, and my prayers and heart go out to all in Alabama!
