I am all about smocked dresses right now. They are the easiest things in the world to throw on and the smocking guarantees a good fit. As the season heats up, I am finding myself reaching for all things smocked.
SMOCKED DRESS UNDER $30
My mom and I ran into Target for a quick errand and, well, you know what happens when you run into Target for one thing….. you end up with a cart load of things you didn’t plan on getting. I can’t remember the last time I took the time to go through Target’s clothing section. The past year, I was running in just to grab groceries or items for the home. So I was impressed with the selection! If you haven’t been lately, highly recommend taking a spin to see what they have. Lots of “cozies,” great activewear, and a ton of Madewell-esque summer dresses at great prices.
I picked up this beautiful red floral dress and was thrilled to find the smocking on the back, ruffled hemline, and pockets! And under $30!! I love the print and can’t wait to wear it more!
As for sizing, I ended up with my normal size (even with a pregnancy sized chest and bump)… so I’d say it runs big. Definitely don’t size up and if you’re in between sizes go with the smaller of the two.
I didn’t pack many shoe options for the trip– tried to bring the bare minimum. The dress totally works with my sandals, but I think it’ll look even better when I’m back home with my espadrilles! A fun date night look.
Dress (under $30) // Similar Flats // Earrings (c/o) // Bag
I love the style and the color and the fact it came from Target makes me love it even more!

Thank you for sharing — I’m definitely ordering that dress. It’s great idea to put the smocking on the back and straps only. It is much for flattering for curvy women.
Influenced. Just bought it 🙂
