Although it’s still very much summer right now, fall is just around the corner. This truly is my favorite season!! I love the layering, autumnal colors, and overall sense of hunkering down and getting cozy after a busy summer. I’ve noticed a few trees around the neighborhood starting to turn, but I think we still have a little bit to go before the weather catches up. I tend to gravitate towards light layers and fall-inspired outfits that are still appropriate for early September weather. Putting together outfits for this in-between season can be a little tricky, so I wanted to share a few simple ideas to come back to during this transitional season.
Button Up Shirt // Jeans // Flats // Earrings // Tote
You can’t go wrong with a white button up and jeans since it’s one of those classic combinations that work for all seasons! I promise once you find a good button up, you’ll want to wear this outfit on repeat! This shirt is my personal favorite. It has a just right oversized fit, and I love it so much that I bought it in blue as well. I’ll usually wear it as a tunic with skinny jeans and flats.Dress // Denim Jacket // Tote // Flats
When it’s still too warm for fall clothes, I tend to gravitate towards dresses in darker colors styled with a denim jacket. Especially anything in jewel tones like this burgundy floral dress. The pattern is not too overwhelming, and it really can be styled with a range of accent colors from tan to black or even dusty rose.
Cardigan Sweater // White Tee // Bag // Jeans // Sneakers // Bow Earrings
I live in cozy knits once the weather dips, plus they are great to layer with! This cardigan sweater is the best of both worlds. Paired with a simple white tee and jeans this is the EASIEST way to transition an outfit you most likely already have in your closet!
Such cute outfits! I love the idea of layering!

I love all of these! I’m counting down the days until it’s cool enough for fall outfits. Haha
Love this birth story! He’s darling!
Pretty selection! Totally suitable for summer in France (We hardly had a summer in Paris this year). Thank you for the inspiration!
