We tend to err on the casual side for Thanksgiving, but I still enjoy getting a little dressed up. My approach is always to just not overthink it and stick to my go-to outfit formulas because really, there’s no one to impress! Having two boys, I also realize putting on anything special is wildly impractical, ha. I had fun putting together these Thanksgiving outfit ideas!
DRESS LOOK
The minute I saw this midi dress, I knew it had to be featured on one of my Thanksgiving outfit ideas! It’s cut in low-maintenance denim that can definitely withstand any potential food stains (cranberry sauce, anyone?!). Since it’s a tank with a low back, I’d throw this tweed cardigan on over my shoulders for more coverage, texture, and and pattern. Chocolate brown is definitely the color of the season, and these satin ballet flats are a perfect way to try the trend before committing– they’re only $50 and have great reviews!

JEANS LOOK
I love this if you plan on having a more casual day. It’s all about the basics, just a little more dressed up. This classic white button down is from the Tuckernuck collab with India Hicks, and I think the statement sleeves are such a fun touch. Now, these earrings! I’m still on a mission to wear more red, and these are just the perfect pop. They’re definitely bigger than the standard studs, but somehow I think the darker shades (they also come in olive) make them more approachable? The last piece I want to call out is these loafers. They’re finished with grosgrain bows, which I actually think look very chic.

SKIRT LOOK
Of course I had to include the famous $50 cashmere sweater! It comes in so many different colors– something for everyone, really. I love the subtle herringbone pattern on this skirt. The gold side buttons are the cherry on top! I feature these brown boots all the time because they’re just the best. They’re pricey, but reasonable for boots and the cost-per-use will be pennies.
