Halloween, Daylight Saving Time ending, the election. There’s a lot going on right now. My nerves are on edge and I’ve been leaning hard into healthy distractions (needlepointing, reading, hanging out with friends) and I’m grateful for a lot of work to keep my brain occupied. Oh, and the leftover Halloween candy doesn’t hurt.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: I’m such an introvert, but last week I had a super extroverted week. Usually a lot of plans and activities would drain my social battery to depletion and yet I actually felt totally energized! My best friend Nicole came for a night in before going into NYC for a work trip and then I had a couple of friends over to my office to hang out the next day. Then it was Halloween where I swear we caught up with all of my local friends within a one block radius. I played pickleball with a new pickup group on Saturday and then went to a needlepoint meet up on Sunday! Who am I?!
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: Other than just getting through tomorrow, I’m cruising through a bunch of big work deadlines. So far this has been the craziest week of the year. Grateful though– just trying to figure out how to balance the workload with two kids this year!
