The bow trend continues to have momentum and I am here for it. One of my first memories involves bows, and they’ve been a mainstay in my wardrobe since high school. Every single day, you all email and DM me bow things– it’s so much fun, and honestly, really interesting to see how different brands interpret them. Not all bows are created equally, you know? Some pieces take on an overly feminine style that I think ends up leaning juvenile or excessive. Still, I’m thrilled everyone is loving the bow trend as much as I do!
The Bow Trend
PACKABLE HAT // NAP DRESS // MONOGRAMMED TOTE
COVERUP // CANVAS FLATS (60% off!) // PEARL EARRINGS ($10!)
STRIPED HALTER // GOLD STUDS ($20!) // CLIP SET ($9!) // STRIPED SHIRT
If you’re not traveling by car, a packable hat is a must for any warm weather trip (I’d bring all of these too). Of course, I love this one. The navy brim is the perfect finishing touch and having a backless silhouette is so practical for when you need to put your hair up in a pony. Smocking is another favorite detail of mine (especially with breastfeeding and currently being a different size) and I’m obsessed with how Hill House combined the two. The shell print on powder blue is too pretty! Navy and white stripes, monogramming, and bows– could this tote be any more Carly? They have a few other colors too, but I’m definitely partial to the stripes.
I’m a fan of pretty much everything LAKE does, including this breezy white linen coverup. I have a hunch that if you wore a slip you could pull it off as a dress! The perfect vacation multitasker. I have such a weakness for flats– they’re another thing that I’m grateful has come back into style! The cap toe detail on these reminds me of my Chanel flats, while the canvas adds texture and feels right for spring. Plus, they’re 60% off right now and have great reviews with all sizes in stock! I don’t wear a ton of costume jewelry these days, but that doesn’t mean these pearl earrings aren’t calling my name. I mean, the GINGHAM! And for only $10 at the moment.
This striped halter would fit right in on Nantucket, right? I obviously love the navy option too. These little studs are darling, not to mention a very low-commitment way to lean into the bow trend. Speaking of low-commitment, I *love* tying bows in my hair– it’s just so chic. For $9, you can get four hair clips in a VERY Carly color palette (lol). And of course, I’m all for this striped shirt with two big navy bows on the back. It’s a comfortable, casual way to feel a little more dressed up!
