This is one of my favorite reminders. It’s one of my “back pocket” thoughts that I pull out whenever I need more understanding of a situation.
how is she feeling?
what might have driven her to say this?
is there something else going on?
could i be missing something in this situation?
what motivates her?
Sometimes I forget to look at what’s going on from a new angle. But it’s eyeopening and gives more color to the story. It also prevents me from jumping to conclusions or giving unfair judgement to the situation.
What’s your “back pocket” thought?
xoxo

a little bit of life, a little bit of style, and everything in between.
sometimes it's hard to ignore gossip, even though we know how exaggerated it quickly gets. Sometimes it's hard to ignore a new scandal, or a rumor you desperately want to believe, but I always try to remember not to base things on how other people portray them.

So true, it's hard to keep things in perspective sometimes!
Being intentional and true (to myself, others, situations). Perspective and being able to keep a sense of humour about situations is something I'm always thinking about too.
