What a fun week!!! Truly gorgeous weather and Mike’s friend came and visited for a few days, so that was great, too.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Mike and I squeezed in a couple of date nights together. Jack is there too and for the most part sleeps through dinner, but it’s just been so nice to go out for dinner and feel like we’re getting a date night in. (Even if we have to take turns rocking Jack or walking outside of the restaurant for a few minutes with him.) Plus we have been trying new-to-us restaurants.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: Repeating last week’s goal of getting my book strategy in order. I don’t really know where the time for the past week has gone, but I have made very little progress. Whoops.
TUESDAY
Started the day with a barre class and it really spiked my endorphin levels. I was in a great mood to work and then Mike and I took the dogs and baby for a long walk. Spent most of the day in leggings, but switched into this for a date night at Sister Ship, a new restaurant in town!
WEDNESDAY
Had to do a bunch of work to meet deadlines, though I ducked into town for a little during the day just to walk around with Jack. Daily walks are good for the soul and even better when it’s a crisp fall day.
THURSDAY
Definitely the best day of the week weather-wise, so we made plans to spend the afternoon at the beach. It was glorious. I even did a couple of rows of needlepoint during Jack’s nap, but otherwise just sat there listening to the beach waves.
FRIDAY
Mike and Chris golfed and then I picked them up after their round to go to the brewery. It was a great scene, even though there was a brief period of rain. I probably shouldn’t have worn shorts because it did get a bit cooler as the afternoon turned to evening, but I really loved this outfit honestly!
SATURDAY
I got coffee with Elin Hilderbrand (!!!) in the morning. I’m so grateful for her advice and honestly it’s such a pinch me moment. I hope someday I’m able to “pay it forward” to someone.
SUNDAY
I had a pretty lazy Sunday. During one of Jack’s naps, I walked and drove around a bit to snap some photos for fun. And then we took some family photos with a tripod!
These are some of my favorite posts! Thanks for always sharing with us!

I really enjoy your blog! Thank you for all that you share, especially your trip to Nantucket. I’ve always wanted to go there. And coffee with Elin Hilderbrand?! Just wow, how much fun that must have been!
I can’t believe you had coffee with Elin Hilderbrand. That is amazing.
