Apparently I was in the mood for a lot of cozy outfits and leggings. I guess looking back it was just one of those weeks!
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Getting to Nantucket without a hitch was definitely the major win of the week. I had no idea what the drive would be like with two dogs and a baby…. but it was completely fine. Maybe the wheels will fall off on the drive home, but we won’t have a ferry to catch so it won’t matter how long that takes exactly. Jack slept for the entire drive… to the point where we had to pull over so I could wake him up to nurse! It was still a really long day and we were exhausted but it was worth it!
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I want to make sure I carve out time to work out and to read. I miss both!! I finally got cleared to work out and I just haven’t been great about reading in general beyond audiobooks. Shifting down to a more relaxed gear while we’re away, so hoping this will be a good time to get back into the habit for both.
TUESDAY
I spent Tuesday catching up on computer work while Jack napped. I did go to the orthodontist for my last (!!!) appointment for my Invisalign. I talked about it on my Instagram story a bit, but I was so relieved to be done and move onto maintenance with just a nighttime retainer.

WEDNESDAY
I was supposed to visit friends in Connecticut but at the last minute I was overcome with intense anxiety. It was the closest I’ve been to a panic attack in a while. I ended up staying home and just getting things ready for our upcoming trip and trying to get ahead on work that had to be done before I left. I had serious FOMO but know I ultimately made the right decision for my own sanity.

THURSDAY
Jack had a pediatrician appointment for some of his immunizations. It was so sad seeing him cry. It was more of a wail and it broke my heart. He recovered a lot faster from the ordeal than I did, haha. We ended up going for a little walk just to get back to equilibrium (that would be me…) and met up with Elsa for a tiny bit at Sunday Motor because we were crossing paths.
FRIDAY
Friday was one of those wild days where I was trying my best to get through the to-do list before the trip. Definitely more of a challenge with a baby between having more stuff to pack in general and having way less time to do it in. Mike’s brother came over that night and the two of us basically played a real life game of Tetris to get everything into the car comfortably.

SATURDAY
A full day of travel. We drove to the cape, took the ferry over to Nantucket, and then got settled into the house. I unpacked and Mike went out to the grocery store for some essentials for the night/next day. We were so relieved to get here!
SUNDAY
It’s been so nice to be here without feeling like we need to cram in everything before turning around and leaving. A big draw for us was just to be able to “cocoon” here as a new family. Kind of nest, if you will. And it already feels like it’s worth it.

MONDAY
It was a rainy day here, which made it perfect for running necessary errands and then getting cozy at the house to read and lay low.
So glad you are taking this time as a new family! Have the best time!

LOVE these posts– I so look forward to them every week. Wondering…. how would you compare the Athleta Elation leggings to the Lululemon align?!
The athleta is a little more compression and the lululemon is a little more stretch/comfort!
Love the outfit- even if they are comfy. And just SO happy for you and your family! Enjoy this time! What a great decision to go to Nantucket.
I love a good leggings look! It’s so comfy and it’s easy to find ways to dress them up with pretty jumpers. Your Tuesday look is my favourite!
