Lots of cozy outfits at home… what’s new 🤪 I’m just happy we’re into February! Getting through January always feels like a big hurdle as far as winter goes. February is already flying by… and I’m trying to get something on the books for March to look forward to. And our summer plans are pretty finalized already. Trying so hard to not wish away the days though!
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Jack’s swim lesson was hands down the best part of last week!! This was our first real activity and it was so nice. I got a little emotional on the drive home. Sounds so weird, but it felt like such a “mom” milestone. Everything has been so dictated by the pandemic and I felt like, I don’t know, 30 minutes of normalcy. Jack loved it, too. So much giggling and splashing. Made my heart so happy.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: We’re flying down to Florida today! I’m really nervous to fly with a baby for the first time. Trying to be ~easy breezy~ about it, but deep down I’m not. Fingers crossed it goes okay. I am very excited to get down there and see my family/friends and host a book signing though!
TUESDAY
This was our swim class day. We aren’t quite used to having such a “big” adventure and I think it took it out of both of us. I stayed in a sweatsuit for most of the day to keep it cozy.
WEDNESDAY
I had good intentions to put normal clothes on, but we had a decently warm day so Jack and I went on a long walk with our neighbors. And then I just stayed in my workout clothes.
Not too much going on Thursday, but Jack’s grandma (my mother in law) popped over to say hi around lunchtime! And then we got out of the house and did my favorite errand…. Target drive up!
THURSDAY
An easy going day. Tried to get a lot of my to-do list out of the way before our trip to Florida. I’ve been slowly chipping away at some home projects too and our handyman came over to help. At this point in my life, outsourcing tasks that someone else can do in a snap is so worth it!! He saved me so much time and I’m sure helped me avoid headaches too.
FRIDAY
SATURDAY
Mike’s brother is coaching this year and we got to go see him coach a game. So fun for that to be Jack’s first sporting event. No surprise– he loved it and honestly watched the team run back and forth on the court in awe. I was on the edge of my seat because it turned out to be a nail biter finish.
Sweatshirt (under $20)
I went to the mall to pick up some last minute things for Florida. I was desperately hunting for a dress for my book signing and I think I found a good one.
SUNDAY
I haven’t had this productive of a day in a while. I try to get in as much work as possible while Jack naps so I can be fully present with him when he’s awake. Between deadlines and last minute packing, there was no room for error with scheduling!
What cute outfits! I hope you have a wonderful time in Florida!

Liking the camel tones.
You are gorgeous post-baby. Motherhood suits you. Sending much warmth and gratefulness from Boston. I’m so thankful for this little corner of the internet, it is a joy to see your life.
Agree 100%! Motherhood suits her. Some days she glows.
You left out what sport Mike’s brother coaches. Good luck today! Luckily, NJ to Tampa is a very short flight.
I love these posts and yay for Jacks first swim lessons! On another note, any tips on finding a handyman?
So curious to hear how your flight goes with Jack. I recently had a baby and would like to eventually take a flight with her so she can meet my husband’s family. Any tips/tricks are welcome! I completely understand your nervousness.
