This week. I don’t know what to say other than to say it feels like my internal clouds have cleared a little bit? It’s a mix of a few things: our trip away, having a week dedicated to grunt work for my business and the house, a ton of fun with Jack, a lot of time outside, getting into a great groove with working out, finding pockets of time for my hobbies. Maybe even just turning the calendar over to March. Just a bit of a fresh start.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: The snow day we had was a blast. I had a ton of work to catch up on, but everything for Jack was canceled and I had no choice but to embrace the snow day for myself. More than anything, it was a great day for a bunch of the neighborhood moms and kids to get together. Everyone is so busy and we were all homebound for the day! We linked up and broke the day up into shifts…. a big chunk of time outside and then a little rest or meal inside. Everyone had a blast. (And the best part? The snow melted FAST. No slush or grey mounds of dirty snow lingering!)
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I have a couple of events I’m looking forward to! January and February is usually quiet and the past couple of years (actually more than a couple– ha) I’ve just not been up for events. Slowly trying to ease myself back into it. I do say no to most things, still, but I’m trying to be better about saying yes to the things that do sound fun!
Snow day! I will say, we had a blast but I was exhausted and we spent a lot of time getting in and out of our snow clothes… kept things casual.
Swim class and music class with Jack!
The shoes are a little fake because I wore this for a shoot I had in the house…. But I thought they looked so cute I had to share anyway.
Back with pickleball!!! I love Addison Bay’s clothes for fun outdoor sports.
A casual Saturday with Jack, his cousin, and aunt! We had a full day of fun: playground, a trip to Target, and dinner out!
Another big day with Mike’s family– we really spent almost all day outdoors.
Mom and Jack adventure day! We went into the city to go to a museum and then playing in Central Park.
