What to Do In Nantucket

I feel like I’ve been to Nantucket enough times where I can offer some advice on how to plan a great trip. That said, I’m not an expert on the island. Despite its relatively small size (less than 48 square miles!), there are always new pockets to explore. I certainly haven’t covered everything as far as what…

Why Mistakes Can Be Total Magic

Maxie texted me the other week about a “mistake” she had made. (I use the word lightly because I don’t even consider it a mistake so much as a learning lesson!) She was sort of beating herself up over it and totally didn’t have to. Was it an ideal situation? Nope! But she made the…

Pupdate!

I’m hoping this title is read like an update on the pups and not about a date with pups. (Although, Ham has been flirting with a three pound Yorkie that lives in our building…)

It’s been six months with having two dogs on my own, and I feel like I’m finally in a good routine with them. It’s so hard, and I often feel outnumbered, but it’s not like they’re kids. It also helps that Hamilton is one and a half years now. The extra “half” makes ALL the difference. That dog has five times the energy Teddy does… phew!

Saturday Sales

I’m laying low this weekend. I haven’t spent a full weekend at home by myself in over a month. I can’t wait to sleep in, play with the dogs, read, watch a movie or two… it’s going to be ah-mazing.

I found some good, classic pieces at great prices for some Saturday shopping. Hope you find something that catches your eye:

Barbour (and Tory Burch and Kate Spade!) on Sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale went live at 3 am last night. I slept right through that but hopped online this morning to round up some not-to-miss sale items. I always like to ask myself if it’s something I’d buy full price. If the answer is yes, I go for it. Otherwise, it’s worth waiting just to make sure you don’t buy something you don’t want or need.

ON MY RADAR

This week was so needed for me. After nearly six months of seemingly nonstop travel, my adventures have come to an end. My next flight isn’t booked until the end of August to celebrate my grandma’s 90th birthday. I’m looking forward to that… but also just to get back into a normal routine in the…

Nantucket Snapshots

My camera roll is brimming with photos I’ve snapped from my trips to Nantucket. I have a bunch of outfit posts and a travel guide coming up, but for now… iPhone photos! As much as I love being back in my routine (and trust me, I really love it), I am missing my happy place. I think…

Casey Neistat Changed My Life

I have seven drafts/versions of this post and a handful of half-written ones on my phone. Every time I actually go to put it together, I struggle to find the words that I really want to say. Sometimes the drafts made me sound way too crazy (this “final” post probably does too), and other times…

Nantucket Bike Ride

I know, I know… another navy and white dress! I’ve actually have had this dress since last year, but I don’t think it ever made it onto the blog. If you follow me on Snapchat though, you’ll probably recognize it as it’s one of the easiest dresses to throw on and I wear it frequently.

This dress is amazing for traveling and packing. There’s a good bit of stretch in the dress, and it doesn’t wrinkle at all! The high neck line is also super flattering, and I love the bright white detailing against the navy.
