I lovingly joke that the only thing that gets me through the winters is wearing as much cashmere as possible. You guys know that I’m not the biggest spender when it comes to clothes, but I like quality, classic pieces that I can wear year after year. If I’m buying into something trendier, I’d prefer to find a good deal. But for something I know that will last me a while? I’m okay making more of an investment. That’s how I feel about cashmere. Pricier than a normal sweater, for sure, but so much more luxurious!
I’ve had this cashmere topper for two years, and it continues to be something I reach for on chilly days. Even though I’m wearing it here with a more office-appropriate outfit, it also works with jeans and sneaks. In fact, I wore just that last month for a wedding event in the redwoods in SF! (One of my bf’s guy friends told me I looked “very chic” when he first saw me at the event. It’s a winner.)
Also… one thing I can’t get enough of right now? Leopard shoes. This isn’t the first time you’ll see them this fall, and it won’t be the last! I’ve been pairing them mostly with simple outfits. Jeans and a chunky striped sweater. Black pants and a tank. Leggings and a white button down.
Last week’s Apple Watch review post!

Such a timeless piece, hard to believe it’s two years old. A good quality cashmere is essential for fall and winter!

I love your attitude when it comes to spending, Carly! I totally believe in investing in a few high quality items that will last years while saving on “trendier” items (…also, I LOVE those leopard flats).
Can you do a post on “dressing up” leggings? Pairing them with a white button down sounds comfy. How else do you wear leggings? 🙂
Love the new name! I’m also obsessed with cashmere – I have a cashmere wrap that I wear with soo many different outfits.
you look so pretty in these photos! I love your hair <3
