I am really excited about today’s partnership with Olay. I’m back to talk about Olay’s Retinol24 Night Moisturizer. I LOVED it when I tried it last year and fully believe it’s the best drugstore retinol. I couldn’t believe the transformation my skin had– it felt smoother and brighter and my actual skin tone appeared much more even. I loved it so much that I had essentially scraped the container clean until it was fully gone, getting every last drop.
Best Drugstore Retinol
But then… I tried another moisturizer. Once the pandemic hit, I pretty much stopped wearing makeup and I thought my skin looked fine and felt good. However, when I put on foundation for the first time in months, I was kind of shocked at how terribly it went on. My skin wasn’t as moisturized as I thought and my makeup looked splotchy and uneven.
Re-enter: Olay Retinol24 Night Moisturizer. Within a few days, I noticed a difference again in how my makeup and sunscreen applied. And after two weeks, I definitely saw a noticeable difference in the brightness of my skin and the lessening of lines. It’s funny, even though I knew the product worked great from my last experience, sometimes you need to stop using it to really notice how great it is… by realizing the negative changes! I’m totally kicking myself for switching to something else…
I’m happy to work this back into my nightly routine. As with before, I was hesitant to use a retinol because I knew it could be a little aggressive for sensitive skin. Olay’s Retinol24 is a perfect option for sensitive skin because it’s specially formulated to moisturize for 24 hours– so you get the benefits of a retinol without the harsh side effects… all for an affordable cost. Even Vogue agrees naming it the “Best Drugstore Moisturizer.” (I’d say it’s also the best drugstore retinol.)
Retinol is light sensitive so it’s most-effective when you apply it at night and sleep on it. Personally I love this because you wake up with glowy, dewy skin that looks great with or without makeup. Pro tip apply it all the way down your next too! Great way to try to prevent “text neck” wrinkles.
Thank you Olay for sponsoring this post!
